SoI have been inspired recently to start writing again. I used to write a lot. Then I stopped. Now I want to do it again, and what better place than here on my very own bloggy-blog. I figure "Lindsay's Lens" can just refer to how I see things, whether it's through the camera or through my eyes. Oh well. It's my blog, so I'll do what I want.
Right now I am excited. Excited because it's almost Christmas. Excited because my family is coming HERE. Excited because I get to have Christmas in my house, cook for my family. And I'm always excited because I have a wonderful blessing in my husband, two dear children and one wonder-dog to share it all with.
Still. Today I missed Ada's Christmas party at her school.
I told her I would come, thinking that it would be a the end of the class period. Raced home from Gainesville where I was meeting with a bride. Got there and Ada says, "Hi Mommy. My party is over."
Oops.
Luckily, she is three... and pretty easy to please. I stood and talked to another mom as she went through the rest of her end-of-the-day routine. She had fun, but I kept catching her looking at me. She wanted me to watch. So I did.
It is humbling to be so awesome in the eyes of this little person. I love her.
