Sun, Sun, Sun

I just wanted to post about my little hiatus I've been taking this week. I'm in Florida attending my 1o year reunion at the junior college I went to. I am having soooo much fun reconnecting with people I haven't seen in a decade or more. It's so strange what a difference a decade makes. Think about it--10 years ago many people still didn't have email (many of us who were students here in '97 left without email address cause the school wasn't internet-ready, so we weren't as accessible as we are now). Plus, cell phones were still bulky and expensive, and there was no Vonage, so you had to pay for long distance on your land line!

But now we are all hooked up and ready to reestablish our ties (or I am, anyway). I mean, the school only had about 400 students at the time, and we lived together (probably 98% of students lived on campus AND we had a curfew), we worshipped together (mandatory chapel every day--you missed five times and you were kicked out!), and we played really really hard together. So we were really close, and I'm so glad to see how easy it is to pick up where we left off.

Anyway, I'm off to go have more fun... and tomorrow we're beach bound, so I'll post some pics of Ada dipping her tootsies in the ocean.
